20 years of research, 20km of Brussels

20km of Brussels with BIG against breast cancer

Over one hundred participants ran for BIG against breast cancer. On the occasion of its 20th anniversary this year, the international association BIG against breast cancer has launched a challenge for its supporters: run the Brussels 20km by supporting the search for better treatments for breast cancer.

Symbolically, every kilometer traveled represented a year of research.

Belgian artist Denis Meyers has customized the BIG team’s colorful t-shirts, a great way to offer visibility and raise awareness about breast cancer research.

Thanks to the participants, supporters and generous sponsors (AG Insurance, AtlasGo, Baobab Collection, BuyWay, Delen Private Bank, Delvaux, Le Soir, The National Lottery, Nuxe Belgium, Ozalys & Urgo), BIG was able to reap more than 20,000 €. This sum will cover the participation costs of 11 patients in the study “GPS Metastatic Breast Cancer” (scientific name: AURORA) for one year.

If you would like to support breast cancer research, visit www.BIGagainstbreastcancer.org/donate or donate to IBAN: BE08 0689 0916 0213 with the communication: 20km.
